KidPower 2007 - Was a Success!
KidPower is a program of the Healthy Active Youth Task Force
KidPower is a free summer-wellness program that encourages and teaches St. Charles County youth the importance of choosing healthy behaviors, including eating healthy and engaging in physical activities. The KidPower Program was a success! We are proud to announce that 444 kids were registered as KidPower participants and almost all of the 2,000 KidPower calendars were distributed throughout St. Charles County.
The KidPower Celebration Picnic occurred on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Youth Activity Park. A total of 185 KidPower participants registered to attend the celebration. There were plenty of healthy snacks donated by Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital, Schnucks, and Culligan Water. KidPower participants enjoyed the amenities of the Youth Activity Park along with a tent filled with 17 vendors with community related information that benefit our youth. If that wasn’t enough, there was the “Kiddie Express” inflatable to take a bounce in. We ended the day with $4,124.58 worth of donated prizes, incentives, and give aways to the KidPower participants.
Thank you for your participation…We’ll see you next summer!
